    Executive Committee:

    IMG_0148Jordan Philbrook (Senior President)

Being a Graphic Designer allows me to constantly push my horizons. Each brief brings a new question that needs to be visually answered in a new light and that constant challenge motivates me to move ahead. I can inject my views and ideas into a piece of work and hope that it can affect someone else. I am passionate about designing and try to show it through my work and the beginning of my involvement in the design community.  I love feeling incredibly strong about what I do and be around people that feel the exact same way.

    saraSara Foerster (Junior President)

I have a great sense of humor and an uncommon view of the world.  I draw inspiration from anywhere and everywhere, I normally find myself day dreaming in the car about my latest design.  Dangerous, I know.  I feel that design can be seen, heard, touched, used and lived with, but great design will inspire.  Have you been inspired lately?

    Sarah McDonald (Junior Vice President)

I’m a small town girl with a passion for design. The majority of my inspiration comes from books and magazines, but I definitely keep my eyes open to anything and everything. I love the modernist style and I have some serious issues with using color.  No worries though, my therapist Gary Will, is helping me work through them :)

The design world is highly competitive and constantly changing; two of reasons why I love it so much!

    TaiaTaia Hartman (Senior Vice President)

I love finding looking at photographs not just of the typical serene landscapes but also of more ordinary things that I find interesting: sunsets over campus, the shapes clouds make, patterns left by dead leaves on the sidewalk.  On the other hand I’m inspired by the reduction of forms shown by Henri Matisse and Neville Brody – the question of how much can something be simplified before it’s no longer recognizeable.

    JessicaJessica Cwik (Treasurer)

Jessica got her start in art at a young age. Inspired from Saturday morning cartoons and comic books, she grew up with notebooks full of sketches and far less notes than teachers and parents would have liked. Her dad introduced her to Photoshop when she was 10 and that jump-started her love for design. Now in college, Jessica gets her inspiration from a variety of different things, but really enjoys rainy days, local bands, and colorful gloves. Also, she enjoys sewing and costume making as a hobby on the side. Jessica hopes to graduate, get a job, and move to city of Chicago because she’s always felt at home there.

    NKuehnNatalie Kuehn (Secretary)

I have a passion for life, rollerblading, and all things artistic. Growing up admiring my older brother and watching him run his own graphic design company has definitely inspired me to follow in his footsteps and design as well. I was raised as a mini-designer and it was the best thing I could have hoped for. I do want to take my own route though and move to Chicago to work on book or package design, or whatever comes my way.
