The Department of Art at Bradley offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in studio art and art history. The department also coordinates cultural programs, exhibitions and lectures. Facilities are located in the Heuser Art Center and the Caterpillar Global Communications Center. Heuser Art Center is a 33,000 sq. ft. facility with fully-equipped studios for ceramics, painting, printmaking and photography and sculpture..

Art 220/221 Professional Lecture Series

Visiting lectures with studio discussions, seminars, and demonstrations from professionals with national and international reputations in the fine and applied arts, art history, criticism, and philosophy. May be repeated to a maximum of 1 semester hour. Prerequisites: Art 101, 102, 105, 106, 140, 142, or consent of Art Department chair.

This class meets only on the evenings of the Lectures; usually only four times a semester. All that is required is attending the lectures. If you miss one of the lectures, you may make it up by watching the tape or dvd of the lecture and turning in a one-page summary of the lecture content. Most lectures are on a Thursday night, from 6:30-7:30. It is possible to take this course concurrent with most art classes that also meet on Thursday nights.
