The Department of Art at Bradley offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in studio art and art history. The department also coordinates cultural programs, exhibitions and lectures. Facilities are located in the Heuser Art Center and the Caterpillar Global Communications Center. Heuser Art Center is a 33,000 sq. ft. facility with fully-equipped studios for ceramics, painting, printmaking and photography and sculpture..

Brief Info

Heather Brammeier is Assistant Professor of Art in the area of painting and Foundations Coordinator for the Department of Art. Ms. Brammeier earned her M.F.A at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where she studied with world-renowned painters, sculptors, and critics including John Moore, Terry Adkins, and Robert Storr.

Her teaching experience includes seven summer terms at Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan, a painting course in the College of General Studies at the University of Pennsylvania, and a visiting lectureship at the College of William and Mary. As painting professor at Bradley, Ms. Brammeier coordinates student mural projects in the community.

Ms. Brammeier has had solo exhibitions in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and South Carolina. Her 2008 group exhibitions include It's Gouache and Gouache Only at Jeff Bailey Gallery in New York, and Re.action at AnnMarie Garden Sculpture Park and Arts Center in Maryland.
