A hybrid event on campus October 19 and 20, and completely virtual the morning of October 21.  The Keynote Speaker, part of the Visual Voices lecture series, on Thursday, October 19 will be Catherine J. Morris, Curator of the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art<\/a> at the Brooklyn Museum.  The centerpiece of the Sackler Center is Judy Chicago’s massive and iconic work, The Dinner Party<\/em><\/a>. <\/em> Morris’ talk is titled “A Shove in the Right Direction: Elizabeth Catlett and 20th Century Feminism.” This look at feminist art through the lens of Catlett’s work and career is central to Morris’ current research focus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
