The Department of Art at Bradley offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs in studio art and art history. The department also coordinates cultural programs, exhibitions and lectures. Facilities are located in the Heuser Art Center and the Caterpillar Global Communications Center. Heuser Art Center is a 33,000 sq. ft. facility with fully-equipped studios for ceramics, painting, printmaking and photography and sculpture..

Susanne Nestory


Temporary Director of University Galleries

Susanne received her BFA ‘92 in Painting from Southern Oregon University and her MFA ‘03 from the University of Pennsylvania. As an undergraduate she participated in Phase II of the Christo Umbrellas Joint Project for Japan and the USA.


She worked as Studio Assistant to late artist, John Paul Jones, who won a Guggenheim Award for Printmaking and became Professor Emeritus in the University of California system. Susanne now represents the John Paul Jones Estate.


As a former member of the Phoenix Gallery in New York, Susanne had solo exhibitions in 2001 and 2003. She has also been included in many National Juried Competitions.  She has also taught Painting, Color Theory and Art Appreciation as an Adjunct Faculty member at Rowan University. 

In 2006, she received a Dodge Foundation Fellowship for New Jersey Artists, which helped to fund a three-month residency for creative research at the Vermont Studio Center. She then spent three more months as Artist in Residence at the Butte-Silverbow Arts Foundation in Butte, Montana.
