39th Bradley International

Exhibition Dates: February 3, 2023 – March 28, 2025

The Bradley International Print and Drawing Exhibition is the second-longest running juried print and drawing competition in the country. Every two years it features the best contemporary graphic artwork from around the globe. This exhibition will be featured in two campus galleries at Bradley University: Heuser Art Gallery and Hartmann Center Gallery. The show will also extend to other venues downtown: The Peoria Riverfront Museum and The Peoria Art Guild.

The Juror for the 39th Bradley International is Aurora De Armendi Sobrino.

De Armendi Sobrino received an MFA from The University of Iowa and a BFA from The Cooper Union School of Art in New York. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including at Wave Hill Garden, the International Print Center, and the Instituto Cervantes in NYC; the San Francisco Center for Book Arts; the Minnesota Center for Book Arts; the MDCC Museum at the Freedom Tower in Miami; Fototeca de Cuba, Havana; and Biblioteca de Cantabria, Spain, among others. Parallel to her studio practice, she serves in the role of Assistant Professor in Printmaking in the Art Department at SUNY New Paltz, New Paltz, NY.

De Armendi Sobrino will offer a public talk on her selection process and her own work on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 5:00pm as part of the Bradley University Department of Art and Design Visual Voices Series. This event will take place in the Horowitz Auditorium in the Bradley University Global Communications Center located at:
